What is Unity?
Unity is a positive, practical, approach to Christianity based on the teachings of Jesus and the power of prayer. Unity honors the universal truths in all religions and respects each individual's right to choose a spiritual path.
Unity's 5 Principles
God Is
God is absolute good and everywhere present; therefore there can be no opposing power.
I Am
Human beings are created with an inherent divinity referred to as Christ consciousness. Our very essence is of God, and we are, therefore, inherently good and always connected.
I Create it
As human beings, we create our own experience through the activity of our thoughts. We formulate our perceptions and choose our responses.
I Pray
Through prayer and meditation, we create an intimate relationship with God. This heightened connection with God-Mind brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity and all our good. Prayer does not change God; it changes us.
I Live it
Knowing and understanding the laws of these Universal Truth Principles are not enough, we must also live the Truth as we understand it.
